What it's like being a twin

Being a twin was never a big deal because I didn't know life any other way. It was great having a twin growing up because we were always together. We always had a friend to start the first day of school with, go to b-day parties with, shared toys, shared a bedroom together, and told secrets to. It was awesome. I absolutely loved my life growing up. We made up a language that only her and I knew. We still know some words (Modo + Moko) lol. We would wrap our own toys and give them to eachother as gifts. It was so much fun. We shared such a bond that nobody else does with another sibling.
My twin sister, Michelle, is my best friend. I mean, she is truely my BEST friend. I can tell her anything and know it will not be told to anyone else. On top of that, we don't judge eachother no matter what happens in our lives. I always know I have someone to turn to. Of course we now live 9 hours apart. We are both married with children. We hardly get to see eachother because of money and so on. We do talk on the phone everyday or stay connected in some way wether its through CafeMom or Yahoo Messenger. We would love nothing more than to live next door to eachother and do our everyday routines together. It doesn't always work out the way we want...but that's ok. She is my twin and that will NEVER change!!
I love you Michelle.

My son David

David

He is our only son. He just turned 4 on June 14, 2009. He is such a happy lil boy. He enjoys driving his Grave Digger truck, playing outside, swimming, drawing, solving problems, helping me clean(which is a bonus), and so many other things. He loves people and is always in a good mood.
He is learning so much in school. It is so amazing. Some of the things he learned this year were counting in Spanish, writing his name, how to draw shapes, coloring in the lines, typing his name on the computer, memorizing every song on his favorite shows including his favorite songs on the radio, and so much more. He pretty much learns anything you tell him. He is truely like a sponge!! I know people hear that all the time, but it's TRUE! He is becoming such a BIG boy. It makes me sad to think about it but also very proud. We love him so much! He is our crazy critter! xoxo

My dad FINALLY arrives!

My Dad is the greatest Dad in the whole wide world!!!! He drove 9 hours from Texas to spend Fathers Day with ME! We have been having such a good time. To start off the arrival my Dad shows up with his significant other....Sylvia. It was the first time I had met her. She is so sweet and enjoys David already!! They got my son TONS of B-day presents such as clothes, pajamas, spider man beach ball and goggles, a huge car that makes noise and moves, and all sorts of other stuff. He got completely spoiled!

After we all got settled in we decided to go out to dinner. We also shared a huge chocolate dessert!!! YUM. Then we went back to my house and played a game called Scattegories. Sylvia had never played it and she claimed she doesn't like being a loser....hahaha! My son kept talking throughout the game and messing us all up. Crazy Critter...thats what I call him! After we played the game Sylvia and My Dad decided to head back to hotel for the night.

Day 2. Today David has been asking all morning when Dad and Sylvia were coming back. Finally they showed up and David was so excited to go swim again! We all swam for hours until we were completely drained! Then Sylvia cooked the most awesome dinner for us! She made home made cheese enchilladas, quacomole dip, and mexican rice! My Dad of course helped (cause he claims he cooks better) and they let David help put cheese on the enchilladas. We all got to enjoy dinner at the table and it was so delicious. Matter of fact, it was the best Mexican meal I had ever tasted! After that my Dad made my FAVORITE dessert, Strawberry Short Cake! We were so stuffed after eating dinner and then we forced ourselves to eat dessert! WOW. It was SOOOO good. It was a nice way to finish the evening!

Day 3. Today is the last day My Dad will be here and its FATHERS DAY. My sisters and I got him a coffee mug with the grandkids names on it. I also got him a digital pic frame, a welcome stone for his front porch, a keychain, Kona Coffee(his favorite) and several other items David made. Then after the unwrapping of the gifts we all went swimming-AGAIN. Sylvia went in while we were all chillin' in the pool and cooked home made nachos! Yea, i said HOME MADE! She even took tortilla shells and made her own chips! It was AWESOME. We also ate leftover guacomole dip. Then we decided to come back inside and take naps to get ready for our cookout later. We are going to have hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, and baked beans. I can't wait to spend more time with my family! I LOVE YOU DAD!

Happy Fathers Day JEFF!!

Its Fathers Day!!! Wow, what a great day so far. Let me start off by saying what a great Husband and Dad Jeff is. He always takes and picks David up from Daycare every single day. As soon as he gets home from work he automatically grabs David and spends Father-Son time outside playing. He is such a GREAT Dad and I am so lucky to be married to him.
To Start the day off I made sausage, cheese, and onion omelletes. They were so yummy. Then David gave Daddy his Fathers Day present. Jeff opened it and he got a bag of golf balls, tees, and a cute picture frame with him and David that said 'Worlds Greatest Dad" He also got a day at the golf course with all his buddies because he has been wanting to try it out. Then after we all spent some family time together we went outside and played in the pool. We had such a blast! David is learning to swim. He is my lil fishy! Now we are going to relax and we are going to grill later on tonight! Happy Fathers Day Jeff!! We love you!

Working Mom

A FULL TIME working Momma!! That's me! I have a 4 year old son and I am married to my Husband for 9 years now. I work full time as a Surgical Tech and a personal Physician Assistant. I have worked in surgery for 9 years now and I absolutely love it. I have done surgeries such as C-Sections, Cardio Vascular, GYN, Plastics, Head and Neck, Ear Nose and Throat, and many others. I worked on the Heart Team for 5 years. I now work for a ENT Doctor who is also a Head and Neck Specialist. I assist him in surgery and clinic. I am like his right had man, or should I say woman! My husband has to take our son to daycare everyday and pick him up. My job consists of me being to work around 6 am and usually not finishing until 6 pm. It takes a lot of responsibility to have a job like this.

When I get home from work I do all the normal things other Moms do. I cook dinner, clean house, play outside with my son, give baths and many more things. I feel like I can provide better quality time with him since I have a full time job. I can not wait to get home to spend time with him and we enjoy our family time a lot more. Well, I just thought I'd let you in on how my life is as a full time Mommy. It is very busy but I wouldn't want it any other way!!
